I have always had an interest in understanding how things around me work, whether we are talking about clocks, computers, or the human creature. Other than that, my wide range of interests includes hockey, my baby nephew, and Japanese animation. I am now looking forward to working in the Taylor lab, in which I complete my second honours thesis.

My interest in social psychology dates from my first year at McGill, in which I took Dr. Don Taylor's introductory class. Aside from Dr. Taylor's hilarious rants and bizarre stories, I have been captivated by social psychology’s direct emphasis on some of the important issues that affect our everyday lives, such as racism or injustice.

This year, I will be working with Joelle Laplante on a project investigating how different social groups employ psychological disengagement mechanisms to protect self-esteem following negative feedback.
